Students Extract Strawberry DNA in Biology Lab

Mrs. Leaphart’s Biology I and Life Science classes had an exciting hands-on lab this week as students extracted DNA from strawberries. Using simple materials and scientific techniques, they broke down the strawberry cells and were able to see the strands of DNA form in their test tubes.

The activity brought genetics lessons to life and gave students a memorable look at the building blocks of living organisms. It was a fun and engaging day in the lab for our young scientists! 🧬🍓
