Wardlaw's FCA exists to present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in HIM in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church. The Huddle Leaders for 2009-2010 are: Jessica Allenr- senior, Orry Courtney - senior, Tony Keenan - senior, Kara Beck - junior, Ali Graves, junior, Jessica Rutland - sophomore, David Terry-junior, and Trudi Belcher (Sponsor). This year FCA is continuing school missions. The Huddle Leaders are conducting their own school missions for their huddles. Their missions include selecting Christian Athlete of the Week, Christian music inthe morning, prayer on the intercom in the morning, Bible studies/devotions with each huddle, Bible stories in the lower school, prayer in classrooms, around the pole, before games and a blessing before lunch each day. One huddle is conducting prayer walks before each home game and please come join us for this time. Any FCA member will know whattime the walk will take place.

POWDER PUFF GAME OF THE CENTURY... Our November meeting was a Powder Puff game with the middle school girs and then with the varsity girls. About 100 people attended to cheer on their teams and about 47 girls participated. Mr. Dix was our speaker and brought a wonderful message. Everyone was excited as teams practiced and coaches planned their game strategy. Tony's huddle did a great job. God gave us a wonderful night as we worshipped Him in games and message.

MS Retreat - Garden City - November
FLOCK TO THE BLOCK Our October meeting was our first Flock to the Block rally. The rally was held on October 28th on Wardlaw's front block. Cherry Case was the praise band and the crowd really enjoyed them. Jack Easterby, USC basketball chaplin, was the speaker. He was outstanding and God met us there. We had approximately 175 people attend and receive a blessing. We were also able to congratulate the Varsity Volleyball team on their 3rd state championship. Thanks to Jessica Rutland's huddle and all the huddle leaders for a job well done!! Special thanks to Zach Snipes and Reid Miller for their help. To God be given all the glory!!!

Our meetings are usually held on Monday nights and feature a guest speaker, games, food,and lots of fun! Come join us and see what God is doing at Wardlaw through those who allow Him to use them in service. 1st Semester FCA meetings: September2nd: God was sooooo awesome! We had about 40 students present. The message given by Miss Jackson was great and so appropriate for our opening meeting. She talked about God molding you to become what He created you to be. If you missed this meeting you missed a wonderful worship. Madlyn Medlock's huddle was responsible for the meeting and they did a great job. God was present and awesome! Thank you Lord!
September 21st: What a wonderful meeting! Kristina Graves (our very own former huddle leader and now FCA member from USC-Aiken) brought a great devotional. The huddle (Ali Graves, leader) did a wonderful job. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and worship. About 45 students attended and God you are awesome!!!
National Day of Prayer....All students gathered around the flag poles to pray for our country, leaders, community and school.
FCA and Student Government sponsored Operation Christmas Child again this year. We are excited thatWardlaw sent 33 shoe boxes to WAFJ for this cause. WAY TO GO FOR GOD! Christmas parade for Edgefield - our float
DECEMBER 15TH - FCA Meeting -CHRISTMAS PARTY ! Approximately 54 students attended - SUPER - All huddles planned this party. We would like to thank the Balentines for allowing us to use their home. THANK YOU BALENTINES! Everyone enjoyed the roasting of hot dogs and the gift swapping. May we remember that Christmas was just the beginning for the cross to come. Thank you Lord for coming and we look forward to your coming again!
January FCA Meeting - Approximately 20 students attended - WONDERFUL -Douglas' huddle was responsible for the meeting. They did an outstanding job. Ms. Jennifer Parker was our speaker and we were proud to have her share her missionary trips with us and show us some very interesting items and pictures. We will look forward to having her speak with again. The evening was filled with prayer, music, a game, and food. Everyone enjoyed this time. God continued with His plan. Thank you Lord for all You do for us! We give honor and glory to you!
February FCA Meeting - Approximately 30 students attended. Briggs' huddle was responsible for the meeting and we honored the varsity and junior varsity basketball teams. They did a great job. Pastor Daniel was the speaker for the evening. The evening was filled with prayer, music, a game, and food. Everyone enjoyed this time. God continued with His plan as we honored God forall the success the season had brought and would continue to bring. Thank you Lord forall You do for us! We give honor and glory to you!
March FCA Meeting - Approximately 25 students attended - SUPER -Tony's huddle was responsible for the meeting. They did a super job. We honored our golf and baseball teams. The evening was filled with prayer, music, a game, and food. Everyone enjoyed this time. God continued with His plan as we continued praying for our upcoming Garden City High School Retreat. Thank you Lord for all You do for us! We give honor and glory to you!
April 20th FCA Meeting - Approximately 60 students and adults attended - SUPER -Kara's huddle was responsible for the meeting. Everything was Great and we honored our varsity and jv softball teams. The evening was filled with prayer, music, a DVD from the HS Garden City retreat, and food. We had a tremendous testimony from Jessica Allen and thanked our Garden City chaperones. Ben wasour speaker and brought a wonderful message. Everyone enjoyed this time. God continued with His plan as we prayed for the upcoming testimonies and FCA and our school next year. Thank you Lord for all You do for us! We give honor and glory to you!
FCA Picnic The members of FCA celebrated God's goodness to us this year by praising Him at our end-of-year picnic. About 45 students played games, ate and listened to Mr. Richardson. God was awesome by giving us wonderful weather and we give all glory and honor to Him!
