Wardlaw's FCA exists to present to athletes and coaches, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of

receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in HIM in their relationships and in the

fellowship of the church.

The Huddle Leaders for 2007-2008 are: Katelyn Rutland (Senior),Harriett Graham Courtney (Senior), Kristina Graves (Senior),

Justin Ouzts (Senior), Hannah Scott (Senior), Ryan Terry (Junior), Coty Courtney (Sophmore), and Trudi Belcher (Sponsor).

This year the FCA is adding new things.  The Huddle Leaders are studying the "Experience God" study and conducting their

own school missions for their huddles.  Their missions include selecting Christian Athlete of the Week, Christian music in

the morning, prayer on the intercom in the morning, Bible studies/devotions with each huddle, Bible stories in the lower

school, prayer in classrooms, around the pole, before games and a blessing before lunch each day.  One huddle is

conducting prayer walks before each home game and please come join us for this time. Any FCA member will know what

time the walk will take place.

FCA Picnic

The members of FCA celebrated God's goodness to us this year by praising Him at our end-of-year picnic. 

About 45 students played games, ate and listened to Mr. Richardson.  God was awesome by giving us

wonderful weather and we give all glory and honor to Him!

Our meetings are usually held on Monday nights and feature a guest speaker, games, food,and lots of fun! Come join

us and see what God is doing at Wardlaw through those who allow Him to use them in service.

1st Semester FCA meetings: 

AUGUST 24TH - FCA KICK-OFF! 67 students were in the gym meeting God ! What a night.... LOCK-IN WITH GOD!

SEPTEMBER 8TH - RALLY IN THE VALLEY!  35 attended a rally sponsored by FCA - (A super crowd was there)

and then attended the Clemson game.  It was definitely HOT but everyone had a great time.

SEPTEMBER 18TH - FCA Meeting - Approximately 32 students attended (we were missing some for

make-up games) - SUPER -Huddle #1 was responsible for the meeting.  They did a super job. 

Mr. Rick West drove in from Santee to speak to us.  He was very good and the evening was also

filled with prayer, music, a game, and food.  Everyone enjoyed this time.  God had a plan

and it did not change.  Thank you Lord. 

     

   

   

 

                                                                      

OCTOBER 16TH - FCA Meeting - Approximately 58 students attended - SUPER -Huddle #6 was responsible

for the meeting.  They did a super job.  We honored our Varsity and Jr. Varsity volleyball teams

and coaches. Mr. Jerry Richardson was our speaker.   He was very interesting and the evening was

also filled withprayer, music, a game, and food.  Everyone enjoyed this time.  God continued with His plan

as new members were present.   Please remember to pray for them as they begin their quest for

NOVEMBER 13TH - FCA Meeting - Approximately 45 students attended - SUPER -Huddle #4 was

responsible for the meeting.  They did a super job.  We honored our math and chess teams

and sponsors.  Mr. Mark Metze was our speaker and we are glad he returned to us again this

year.   We look forward to hearing him speak at his alma mater. The evening was filled with

prayer, music, a game, and food.  Everyone enjoyed this time.  God continued with His plan

as the middle schoolers gave testimony to their weekend at Garden City.

FCA and Student Government sponsored Operation Christmas Child this year.  We are excited that

Wardlaw sent 39 shoe boxes to WAFJ for this cause.  WAY TO GO FOR GOD!

DECEMBER 18TH - FCA Meeting -CHRISTMAS PARTY !  Approximately 30 students attended - SUPER -

All huddles planned this party.  We would like to thank the Balentines for allowing us to use their

home.  THANK YOU BALENTINES! Everyone enjoyed the roasting of hot dogs and the gift

swapping.  May we remember that Christmas was just the beginning for the cross to come.

January FCA Meeting - Approximately 40 students attended - WONDERFUL -Huddle #2 was

responsible for the meeting.  They did an outstanding job. It was "Bring A Friend" meeting

and we had a great time meeting new people.  Mr. Josh Herlong was our speaker and we

were proud to have one of our own back to speak with us.   We will look forward to having

him return next year.  The evening was filled with prayer, music, a game, and food. 

Everyone enjoyed this time.  God continued with His plan.  Thank you Lord for all You do for us!

February FCA Meeting - Approximately 50 students attended - A GREAT JOB-Huddle #5 was

responsible for the meeting.  They did a super job.  We honored our basketball teams and

coaches.  Mrs. Warnkin was our speaker and we had an inspiring message.  She used a wonderful

illustration to show us God in our lives.  The evening was filled with prayer, music, a game,

and food.  Everyone enjoyed this time.  God continued with His plan as we honored God for

all the success the season had brought and would continue to bring.  Thank you Lord for

March FCA Meeting - Approximately 30 students attended - SUPER -Huddle #7 was responsible

for the meeting.  They did a super job.  We honored our golf and baseball teams.  The evening

was filled with prayer, music, a game, and food.  Everyone enjoyed this time.  God continued

with His plan as we continued praying for our upcoming Garden CityHigh School Retreat.

April 22nd FCA Meeting - Approximately 30 students attended - SUPER -Huddle #3 was responsible

for the meeting.  Everything was Great and we honored our varsity and jv softball teams.   The evening

was filled with prayer, music, a DVD from the HS Garden City retreat, and food.  Mr. Bernie Hayward was

our speaker and brought a wonderful message.  Everyone enjoyed this time. 

God continued with His plan as we prayed for the upcoming testimonies and FCA and our school next year.
