Note:  For the first time in three years the Lady Patriots and Lady Knights met on the basketball court and what a game it was.   The Lady Knights owned the first half as Wardlaw starters Katelyn Rearden and Gina Easler had to sit out with three fouls much of the second quarter allowing the Lady Knights to go to the locker room with a 21-13 halftime lead.

 

The Lady Patriots turned the table in the second half to tie the score at 28-28 late in the fourth quarter only to have Rearden foul out and the Lady Knights held on for the 34-32 win.

Note:  Like the girls game Wyman King took control  in the second quarter when Wardlaw had Balentine and Dawe on the bench in foul trouble that allowed the Knights to take a 23-16 lead into the locker room at half.    The Patriots stormed back in the second half to take 39-33 lead with 2:26 left in the game.   However, after Balentine fouled out the Knights closed regulation with an 8-2 run to send the game into overtime.   Less than a minute into the overtime Dawe fouled out and the Knights went on a 10-3 run to get the victory.
