Note: The Lady Patriots ran into a fired up Lady Lions team and found themselves behind 13-6 after one quarter as Kassidy Moorhouse of Anderson Christian scored 12 of her 23 game points. Wardlaw cut the Anderson lead to a 14-17 score at half. The Lady Patriots came out in the second half fired up and got the fast break offense going and outscored the Lady Lions 16-2 to take control of the game. Rearden and Easler led the scoring with 14 and 12 points. Easler again led the rebounding with 13 boards. The Lady Patriots completed their region schedule with a 6-0 recored and number one seed in the region tournament and will play Anderson Christian on Thursday 2/11 at 7 p.m. at Newberry College.

Note: Playing without the ill Stephen Balentine the Patriots got off to a slow start in the first quarter but caugh fire in the middle quarters to outscore Anderson Christian 30-11 and take control of the game. The Patriots had a much better inside game getting 19 of their points in the paint. Graeme Dawe and Harrison Courtney led the scoring with 11 points each. Courtney had a double double with his 12 boards. The Patriots ended the region schedule tied with Newberry Academy for second place. A flip of a coin will decide which team wears white and dark jerseys for their tournament game on Thursday at Newberry College. The Lady Patriots had three players soring in double figures led by Katelyn Rearden’s 14 followed by Peyton Baynham with 13 and Gina Easler with 12. Easler and Baynham had double doubles with 12 and 10 boards. Note: The Patriots upped their region record to 2-0 with a rout of the Lions. Coach Scott Quarles gave all his players quality playing time. The Bench players scored 28 of the 56 points in the game.
