Note: The Lady Patriots had to survive a cole shooting second half (5-24) to remain undefeated for the season. The Lady Eagles used a 9-0 run in the third quarter to turn the game into a fight for survival for the Lady Patriots. The Lady Eagles cut the Wardlaw lead down to 39-37 late in the fourth quarter. At that point Elizabeth Stone and Briggs Belcher found the scoring range for Wardlaw scoring 5 and 3 points.

Note: The Patriots came out fired up in this game seeking to revenge an earlier region loss to the Eagles and to clinch the region regular season title. Kevin Ginn led in points with 14 followed by Travis Gagnon with 11. Gagnon recorded another double with his 15 rebounds. He also had 4 blocked shots in the game. The victory earned the Patriots a first round bye in the region tournament next week.
Both Wardlaw teams will play the late games at Newberry College beginning at 7 pm on Saturday 2/16.

Note: The Lady Patriots had an exciting come-from-behind victory to keep their undefeated region record (7-0) and undefeated season (16-0) alive. Newberry had taken control of the game in the third quarter out scoring the Lady Patriots 11-1. In the fourth quarter the Lady Patriots kept chipping away and tied the regulation game at 29-29 on a buzzer beating trey by Kristina Graves. Anna Yarborough took charge in the overtime scoring 8 of the 9 points. She started the overtime by hitting a bucket from behind the 3 pt line and then converted 5 of 7 from the charity line..
This week the Lady Patriots has region games at home at Aiken Christian on Monday, Aiken Prep on Tuesday and Laurens Academy on Friday followed by a non-region home game against Greenwood Christian on Saturday afternoon.
