Note:   For the seconc time this season the Lady Patriots were hard pressed to put away the second place Lady Crusaders.    Earlier in the season Wardlaw won a 39-37 nail biter at Laurens.    Elizabeth Stone led the way with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 assist.    It was Stones  ninth double double of the season.

Note:  The Laurens Crusaders closed the game with a 13-4 run that nearly wiped out an 11 point Wardlaw lead.  The Patriots hung on for the region win that kept them in first place.   Gagnon had yet another double double to help the Patriots win the rebounding war 29-15.   Gagnon had 10 points to go along with the rebounds.   Stephen Balentime led the scoring with 13 points.

Note: The Lady Patriots ran into an ambush at Laurens Academy and trailed the Lady Crusaders 13-4 about halfway thru the second quarter. A full court press helped the Lady Patriots get back into the game with a 12-0 run to close the first half. Elizabeth Stone and Hannah Caviness of Laurens had a second half duel in the region contest. Stone ended the game with 27 points and Caviness finished with 23. Stone had 18 of her points in the second half and Caviness had 15 of her points in the second half.

Note: The Patriots took control of the game in the second half after Stephen Balentine held the Laurens scoring machine in Jazz Farhan to only two points. The Patriots outscored Laurens 11-3 in the third quarter to carry a 26-20 lead into the fourth quarter.. Travis Gagnon and Ross Williams took control of the boards with 10 and 7 rebounds.
