Note:  Two things contributed to the Lady Patriots defeat in the title game.  First was the slow start in getting only one shot of nine to drop in the first quarter and the second came in the final 2:30 of the third quarter when James Island trailing 20-14 went on a 9-0 run to close the quarter and take a 23-20 lead into the final quarter   The turning point in the game was when Jamie Duggan of James Island fired a 3 pointer over Katelyn Rearden to spark the 9-0 run.

In the fourth quarter the Lady Patriots could never get any closer than 3 points as Shelbi Bottoms kept  driving inside for 3 baskets and a free throw and made a key steal in the waning seconds of the game.

Rearden led the Patriots with 14 points followed by Easler with 10.   Easler also had 11 rebounds in the game.

Rearden and Easler made the all-tournament team.

The Patriots will have four starters returning next year to anchor what promises to be another winning team.

lLord we thank you for this season.  We are grateful to You for our successes.  We give this game to You.  Help us grow closer to You.
