Spring Pictures have been rescheduled for 3/10 (Wed) due to weather delay.  Please give your pre-paid order to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible, but no later than March 10th.  Be sure to choose the background and include payment.

Concessions and Ticket Booth

We neet parents to take up money at the gate for all softball & baseball games this spring.  This is a good way to work off maintance fee.  Please contact AD Teddy Weeks (803-446-3379 or TWeeks51@aol.com) as soon as possible.  Sign up to work concessions, ticket booth, or sell Patriot itmes.  Thank you parents who are helping us now!

Athletic Physicals

Any athlete that plans to play a spring sport must have a new medical physical on file in the office. If you have not had a physical this year, you must get one before you can practice.

 

                    Yearbook News  

  • Yearbooks are on sale through Sept. 8 for $45.  The price will increase to $50 form Sept 9th through Oct. 30.  Order forms have been sent home with your child along with recognition ad forms for those who wish to purchase an ad for your child.
  • Fall yearbook portraits will be taken on Wed., Sept. 2, 2009
  • Be sure to send in your favorite summer pictures for the yearbook.  Each family may send up to 3 photos at a cost of $1 each.

Popsicles

The 4th and 5th Graders are making plans for their overnight field trip to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia in November. They are selling Popsicles at recess everyday to the Lower School, and on Wednesdays in the cafeteria to the Upper School.  The charge is 25 cents for each popsicle and the students will be selling them

through the month of September.

The Advancement Fund has kicked off its annual mail-out fund-raising campaign.  It is our goal for the 2009-10 school year to have 100% participation from our current parents, board, faculty and staff.  Each class having 100% parent participation will celebrate with an ice cream party! It is not the amount of the contribution that is important it is the participation in this worthy devleopment program.  A successful Advancement Fundis vital to the growth, improvement, and advancement of our school.  Please sent your tax-deductible donation today!

Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night

Wardlaw Academy has joined with Chick-Fil-A of North Augusta to host Spirit NIghts! Eat at Chick-fil-A of North Augusta from 5pm -8pm on our Spirit Night. Make sure you receive the flyer given to students at the school. We will receive 15% of the sales brought in by our school. The spinning wheel located there can help us raise more money and only cost $.50 to spin. You can win merchandize or coupons. The school that raises the most money through these nights will receive an additional $500 at the end of the school year.

Wardlaw Spirit Night is every Wednesday night beginning September 12th.  EAT CHICK-FIL-A

Summary of monies/ points raised for the 2006-07 Year:

     Box Tops for Education   -  $2,000.00 for the 2007-08 school.  SUPER JOB!!

  Campbell's Soup Labels - We need the UPC with the little boy holding the pencil.  Please note to cut this out instead of just the label.  Thank you. 

New programs for the 2007-08 school year in addition to those listed above.

1.  Tyson's "Project A+" -   Thson's box, bag and lunch meat product packaging- label strip with "Project A+" logo along with "Support your school" or "3 steps" written beside it.  SAVE the entire label.  We can redeem for .24 each.  Money can be used at our discretion.  We must have 100 labels before we can submit.

2.  Nestle's Water Bottle Labels  -  Turn in the whole label from the bottle and collect points that will go toward sports gear and PE equipemnt.   We have 2,500 points to use for PE equipment for the lower school.
