Note:  The Lady Patriots dodged a bullet in the Region Championship game and rallied to defeat the upset minded Lady Crusaders.    Laurens in the first half did a great job at blocking out Wardlaw on rebounds.   The Lady Crusaders held a 19-9 advantage  at halftime holding Wardlaw’s Gina Easler to only 2 boards.

The Lady Patriots came out in the third quarter and played perhaps their worse 8 minutes of the season turning the ball over their first ten trips down the floor that allowed Laurens to hold an 18-15 lead with 1:38 left in the quarter.     The Lady Patriots got the spark they needed from Kathryn Ginn  when she scored two quick  goals off offensive rebounds.   Ginn led the Patriots in rebounds for the game with 10.   The Patriots got fired up in the fourth quarter with a 14-8 run to close the game.   The Patriot rebounding was much improved in the second half as the Lady Patriots won that war 18-5.

Katelyn Rearden was named tournament MVP and Peyton Baynham was all-tournament.

For season play Gina Easler was the Player-of-year for SCISA Region 2-A.   Joining Easler on the

All Region Team for 2009-10 were;  Katelyn Rearden and Peyton Baynham

Wardlaw only had David Terry making the boys all-tournament team.   Stephen Balentine and Harrison Courtney were named to the All Region team for season play.

Some of the all region players could be named to play in the SCISA All-Star games on March 6.

We thank our Father for all of these outstanding young adults, their talents and their hearts...We give all the honor and glory to our Lord, Jesus Christ...
